AHCL Systems: a technological innovation for Diabetes Management<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n

Advanced Hybrid Closed-Loop (AHCL) systems represent the latest technological advance in the treatment of type 1 diabetes and consist of three components: a control algorithm, an insulin pump and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM). AHCL systems are capable of automatically delivering insulin, adjusting to rising and falling requirements, and delivering automatic correction boluses as needed, based on glucose predictions derived from continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Treatment with AHCL systems improves glycaemic variability, reduces the frequency of hypoglycaemia and significantly increases the time spent within the target range.
